Mammillaria macrothele, Mart. (M. aulacothele, Lem. M. Lehmannii, Otto). Sts. stout, attaining nearly 2 ft. height by 4 in. diam.: tubercles long, conical, at first upright, in age becoming even deflexed: spines all yellow; radials 6-8, spreading; centrals 1-2, longer and stouter: fls. 1 ½ -2 in. broad. Cent. Mex.
