Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture

Meconopsis chelidonifolia, Dur. & Franch. Perennial, rhizomatous, glaucous, 2 ft., the st. branching and leafy and glabrous above, at first erect but becoming prostrate: lvs. mostly basal, glaucous beneath, setulose, ovate- deltoid or ovate-oblong, pinnately parted, the segms. ovate and cut with the terminal part 3-lobed: fls. on slender axillary wiry peduncles twice exceeding lvs., clear yellow: caps, ovate, glabrous, small. Cent. Asia to W. China.
