Medinilla chionantha, Stapf. Glabrous shrub with terete gray-brown branches: lvs. lance-oblong, acuminate, narrowed into a very short decurrent petiole, 3-nerved: cymes axillary, somewhat umbellate, the bracts minute and acute; fls snow-white; petals broadly elliptic, obtuse, fleshy, 2/3in. long. Malay Peninsula.
