Pavonia hastata, Cav. St. pubescent: lvs. short-petioled, orbicular to oblong, sometimes deltoid, sagittate or hastate, dentate, somewhat tomentose beneath, pubescent above; stipules filiform: pedicels axillary and 1-fld., the involucel 5-bracted, the petals rose-colored and veined at the base with purple. Brazil.—Offered in Calif., as a small purplish-fld. shrub.
