Pentstemon diffusus, Douglas (P. argulus, Paxt.). Sts. about 2 ft. tall, diffuse: lvs. ovate to oblong-lanceolate to cordate-ovate, unevenly and deeply serrate: infl. leafy, the pedicels very short; fls. 3/4in. long, light purple, 2-lipped; sterile filament hairy above.
