Robinia holdtii, Beissn. (R. neo-mexicana X R. Pseudacacia). Tree, intermediate between the parents: lfts. larger than those of R. neo-mexiana. 1 1/2-2 in. long, darker green and firmer than those of R. Pseudacacia: racemes looser than those of the first parent; corolla light pink to rose-colored: pod with scattered stalked glands. Originated in the nursery of F. von Holdt, Alcott, Colo. Var. britzensis, Spaeth. A form with nearly whitish fls., originated in Spaeth's nursery near Berlin, Germany. Also R. coloradensis, Dode, probably belongs here.
