Salix hexandra, Ehrh. (S. alba x S. pentandra). Low tree; mature branchlets glabrous: lvs. lanceolate, green on both sides, silky at first, becoming glabrous: catkins like those of S. alba; stamens 4-6. In Eu., with the parents.
