Saxifraga elizabethae, Sunderm. (S. Burseriana x S. sancta. S. Cherrytrees, Hort.). Very free-growing, forming cushion-like tufts: lvs. deep green, in small rosettes which are closely packed together: fl.-sts. 2 in. high, tinged red, glandular; the bracts tipped with green: fls. yellow (variously stated as sulfur, primrose, and canary), quite large and in heads of 3-5. March, April. A garden hybrid. G.L. 18:116; 25:153. CH
