Selaginella concinna, Spring (S. serrulata, Spring). Sts. 1 ft. or more long, copiously pinnately branched, with more or less fan-shaped compound branches: lvs. of lower plane crowded, bright green, glossy, much dilated and rigidly ciliate on the upper side at base; lvs. of upper plane one-third as long, long-cuspidate, much imbricated. Mascarene Isls.—Var. foliis variegatis, Hort., is cult. CH
