Senecio fastigiatus, Nutt. An herbaceous perennial, floccose-tomentulose throughout, somewhat glabrate: st. 1-2 ft. high: lower lvs. narrowly oblong-oblanceolate, including the long slender petiole 3-6 in. long, 1/2 in. or less broad, entire or nearly so, usually with revolute margins; upper st.-lvs. much reduced: heads radiate; commonly several in a terminal corymbose cyme; ray-fls. about 8, rays yellow.
