Silene dianthifolia, J. Gay. Perennial, densely cespitose, 4-6 in. high, glabrous: sts. erect, 1 (rarely 2) -fld.: lvs. ciliate at the broadened base, narrowly linear, acute, the lower congested, the upper shorter; calyx reddish nerved, short obconic-cylindrical, teeth ovate; petals 2-parted above the middle into linear-oblong segms.: caps. ovate.
