Thymus heterotrichus, Griseb. Subshrub, 3-6 in. high: branches ascending, puberulent: lvs. 6-8 lines long, linear-lanceolate, rather obtuse, fascicled in the axils, flat, glabrous; floral lvs. similar: floral whorls approximate in a head-like raceme: fls. pale violet; calyx pilose, upper lip trifid to the middle, its segms. lanceolate-acuminate.
