St. 1-2 ft. high: lvs. rigid, linear, 6-10 in. long, obliquely truncate and toothed at the tip: raceme 1-2 ft. long: fls. 3-4 in. across, pale blue; lateral sepal obovate; petals broadly obovate, clawed; labellum less than one-third the length of the sepals, dark blue, linear-oblong, side lobes small, rounded, middle lobe with 2 thickened ridges.
