Vanda cathcartii, Lindl. St. 1-2 ft.: lvs. linear-oblong, 6-8 in. long, unequally bifid at the tips: racemes longer than the lvs., 3-6-fld.: fls. 2 1/2 in. across, orbicular in outline; sepals and petals nearly equal, orbicular-oblong, concave, pale straw-colored, transversely streaked with numerous narrow red-brown lines; labellum shorter than the sepals; lateral lobes quadrate, incurved, white with red streaks; middle lobe reniform, margin white, slightly crenate, center thick, yellow with a crenate border.
