Perennial, glabrous or slightly minutely puberulent: st. prostrate, rooting at the base: lvs. very short-petioled, obovate-elliptic or oblong, obtusely serrulate, base usually cuneate: raceme densely spicate; pedicels very short: fls. violet; calyx-segms. 4, lanceolate-linear, rather acute; corolla-lobes lanceolate: caps. obcordate, acute, puberulent.
