Veronica latifolia, Linn. (V. urticaefolia, Linn.). Perennial, sparsely and crisply hirsute: sts. erect: lvs. sessile, ovate, sharply serrate, base often cordate; upper long-acuminate: racemes opposite, laxly paniculate: fls. light blue or reddish; calyx-segms. minute, lanceolate, rather acute: caps. orbicular, base rotundate. Eu.—Horticultural material under this name is apt to be a broad lvd. form of V. Teucrium.
